BreakThru Noon : Artist Talk by textile artist Bettina Matzkuhn
Wednesday April 23, 2014
12-1pm @ the gallery
Vancouver artist Bettina Matzkuhn has used the textile medium to tell stories for over 30 years. These include award-winning animated films, the bombed ruins of WWII Germany, a story of a 2300km bicycle ride, maps that mix fiction and fact, and billowing sculptural sails. Her talk will be a lively, illustrated tour of her ideas, working process and adventures. She will bring some original work and answer your questions. You'll never look at textile and thread in the same way after this.
